LOOKING FOR A FUN GAME FOR YOUR ORGANIZATION OR GROUP F2F OR ONLINE?

"The Rampage of Appreciation game can be played anywhere and at any time because it is easily played simply by directing pleasant thoughts in your mind. If you were to write your thoughts on paper, it would enhance this process, but it is not necessary". - Ester Hicks

How to Help Young Adults w/Work Ethic & Motivation

In this video, learn three tips to support young adults or anyone increase their work ethic and motivation.

My Takeaways:

1.Promote them to find their purpose, their ‘why’:
-Do a workshop or team-building activity to help them find their why/purpose.
-Find out their interests and help them see how things transfer to their personal goals (transferable skills).
-Ask for their input, if they were running the ‘shop’ what would it look like or what things do they enjoy doing and have them do those things.

2. Be emphatic but not sorry for them:
-Adulting is a big change for most.
-Technology has taught us to expect instant gratification. Help/model that things take time.

3. Be a role model, lead by example:
-Be enthusiastic & passionate – it will rub off.
-Know your purpose/why and share how what your doing is contributing to your bigger vision for your life.
-Study leadership leaders like #SimonSinek or #BrendonBurchard or #OprahWinfrey.

Feel privileged to have the opportunity to be one of the positive influencers that will help them shape their life over time - not all at once – remember it’s a honor to support others.

ADULT LEARNING IS...

ADULT LEARNING IS based on the philosophy that each learner brings experience and knowledge into the learning environment.

WHAT IS EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING?

"Educators purposefully engage with learners in direct experience and focused reflection in order to increase knowledge, develop skills, clarify values, and develop people's capacity to contribute to their communities".

If we can meet nature half way, I think we can meet each other half way too!

THE IMPORTANCE OF SIBLINGS

"Our longest-lasting relationships can often be the most complex, says Emma Cook, but understanding the bond with our brothers and sisters can improve our lives in powerful ways". - Psychologies

ENGAGING ADULT LEARNING

ENGAGING ADULT LEARNING may look more digital and less in-person; however, the core principals are the same.

ADULT LEARNING NEEDS TO:
1. Meet the needs of the adult's real life
2. Hands on experience
3. Be holistic - make connections (mind, spirit, body, family, society)
